My him indoors can't wait on me, he's caught the lurgy! But mine feels like a normal cold now the fever has gone. I think I'll trickle down to the pharmacie soon to get some more cold cures, he'll be wanting them and I've swallowed most of them.

Sorry to hear you are back in bed KEF.

Has anyone seen 87 year old Marion's thread? She's spent several hours in her garden today, cutting down brambles and stuff. That lady is amazing!

Makes me feel tired reading HappyMarion's thread at the moment Lizzie!  I'm just sitting here coughing pitifully... image  though to be honest, even if I felt 100% the most I could have done outside is shed tidying today.

Marion is going to be my inspiration this year.  When I feel lazy I'll look at what she's achieving and use it as a kick up the btm.  image

BL - re the castle - yes that's the one. I was going to PM Hosta with the details of the walking site, which has a dedicated thread, as he was interested - I'll just put it here though - www.walkhighlands.co.uk. Click on Forum, then General Discussion, then the thread Anyone Using the A93 between Braemar & Aboyne - Wee Issue. Black Panther (on there) has a link but there are other posts re the road closures and damage to the area. It's pretty hellish and very upsetting.

Marion makes me feel very inadequate - she's unbelievably positive and hardworking image

Sorry you're feeling a bit **** KEF. I take it you won't be having any pasta for tea then? image

Went to collect a table after work and called in to Morrisons for a couple of things. Managed to not buy some Hellebores that I want and a white Hyacinth. I fear I may return though....image

  • Evening all,

Starting to feel a bit more myself (thank goodness), managed a walk around two garden centres this morning but unfortunately found nothing worth buying except the compost and bird food I went in for image - oh, I did manage a little bird house (very little) but pretty, for what will be my new style shabby chic terrace when the weather sorts itself out. image

Also managed a walk of around an hour and a half in the nearby countryside. It was only a month ago I ran the fastest 10K ever and felt fine, today a gentle amble and I feel exhausted, ( in a good way, not the yucky way of the last few weeks) but how quickly we lose fitness and how slow is it to get well again, doesn't seem fair somehow.

Anyway, it was a mild afternoon and the sun did poke his head out for a little bit. image

Have a good evening all. image
