  • Morning all, frosty and a little bit nippier start to the new year, but I don't really mind as this is what mother nature should be giving us.

Have a lovely day, gently does it for all that are nursing a 'sorehead'.x

  • Sorry KEF I didn't think the pictures were worth another mention, I meant walk and fizz

Morning all - Happy New Year. Eventually got to sleep - endless fireworks round here.

Cold here too - ground frozen when I fed the birds earlier - but the snow didn't come to much. It'll be nice on the hill later but I have to take daughter to work so it'll be a short walk for me. Typical - the only decent day before I go back to work....image

    not mentioning Edd's pix...image

Hope everyone is ok. I'll have a quick look round here before I get myself organised to go. Have a good day everyone image

Verdun - re Nursery Rhyme books - my best recommendation is to go into Waterstones and find one you really like - read all the nursery rhymes in it and check that the rhymes are the versions you know, and not Americanised ones or you'll find it really annoying!  Also there's nothing like holding the book to get the feel of the paper quality and looking at the illustrations ... some are wonderful, some are just too trite for words.  Go to Truro Waterstones and spend a morning immersing yourself in nursery rhymes image  Also talk to the Waterstones staff, most are very knowledgeable and will have catalogues of books they don't have in stock - they'll order them in for you to look at and choose from.

  • Good morning all, Happy New Year. image

We managed to get 2/3 rds of the way through E.T. but even though it was a lovely film even Charlie couldn't stay awake so by 10:30 we were all in bed. Not terribly exciting, we said next year we will try and make more of an effort. image

Think I might spend the day taking all the decorations down and giving the place a good dusting, I need to get the ladders out for some high shelves, might even give the barn windows a wash for a treat whilst the ladders are out. New Year and all that. image
