The postman just arrived! I got a pressie through the post from a very kind forker! Thank you so very much, I am very grateful. Here's a cyber thankyou gift,....... you know who you are
Sorry Mrs G - don't think they are sweet peas either - cosmos maybe? Sweetpeas come up as bright green shoots, with quite a lot of leaf early on.
Sorry - should have said morning all. Damp here, but not actually raining, so just been round the garden with the camera - its growing a mile a minute at the moment. If i get a break between the showers i will get some more plants in the ground.
Hazel hurdles arrived yesterday - getting them up will be tomorrows task - i will be spirit level holder ......
Morning gang Rainy here too. Chance to try out my new coat later when I have to pop into town, although I'm not sure how dry it will keep me as it seems very thin
Know I'm too late for Sir Woody to see, but I hope the plant sale goes well. I hope Gg. enjoys it too and comes back with many a bargain
Windsong, Fairy is right. It was Love your Garden. ITV3 are showing repeats, they are doing 2 a night so you get an hour of it
if you remember I posted a pic of my h'hhmmm sweet peas which aren't,! Well I think I've found them...
Mmmmm, I see the label says Everlasting Sweetpeas - that might be them - they're a bit different and the leaves are slimmer than the more usual sweet peas.
But whatever they are they need much much much more light .......
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
MrsGarden I dare you to post that pic on sweetpea thread and say yours are coming along great. I'd love to see what David says. Soz I should be sympathetic but can't stop laughing Wasn't Chicky lovely and tactful? I'd have said you've got some real show stoppers there.
Have you got anymore peas you can sow in pots and put outside to germinate if you can't sow them direct ?
