The winter jasmine I know is yellow.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I've been retired for 4 years now, bliss! The only problem is, I find myself procrastinating, i.e. thinking to myself I don't have to do this today, can do it tomorrow or the day after, especially things I hate doing, like housework, cleaning windows etc. It's a hard life!image

BL its a nice surprise to see a new flower so late, hope it is winter flowering.

SS im a puttererofferer as well.

Not had the garden day I thought, put off by rain, put off by cold put off by lethargy, but sun out now and lots of leaves on the front drive to collect for leaf mould.even put off because I need to get changed! Ok I'll get a grip!
  • Winter flowering jasmine is the yellow one - like little yellow stars image  We have a feral one breaking into flower at the moment.

As you say, lovely to see at this time of the year. image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Well, that's the daffs in - 'twas a lot quicker than I expected! image  Quick cuppa and will start ripping out the old timber front of the long raised border, before it gets dark..

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Yep, it's raining here again - washing away the diamond I've just lost from my ring, was wearing gloves as well. Cannot think of a polite way to say how I'm feeling right now !

Oh dear that is bad news losing your diamond. Have you looked in the glove Mrs G - it might be hiding.

Looked in the glove and where I took them off. OH not here but have texted the bad news to him. It's happened before but when we were doing building work, lugging bricks etc. Still I should learn to take it off when in the garden - just think then I'd loose the whole ring then.

At least you could use a metal detector if you lost the whole ring.  I hope you find it.  Keep looking and I'm sure it will turn up.
