Right, I've been indoors for an hour and a half, both underfloor heating (left on in new part of house all hols) and now the rads are on, plus the woodburner.
Ooh, poor you Hosta, always a shock to the system coming back to a colder climate - get the wine out.
Noticed people talking about cleaning ovens. When we moved in here the previous owners said they had cleaned everything, including the oven. Having owned the property for less than 24 hours I tried to make toast using the oven/grill - whole oven ignited whilst I was waiting for it to warm up - I grabbed a fire blanket that was hanging in the kitchen but unfortunately I realised too late that it was so old it was full of grease and that went up in flames too. Whilst desperately trying not to panic (didn't even know the French version of 999) I had visions of trying to explain burning the whole house down to French insurance agent so soon after finalising the purchase. Luckily I got in under control but I was shaking for hours after. As you can imagine I have been quite keen to clean the oven frequently since that day.
Right, been busy all day, just back in from a practice run of the race route I am doing on Saturday, 4 loops of our old town dressed as Mrs Santa, very hilly, lots of cobbles, so I am going to relax and enjoy a glass of wine, probably only one this week until after the race anyway.
Good night all, catch you tomorrow.

Evening all. Welcome back Hosta. Won't join the oven cleaning talk except to say I'm a top of the stove cook, while hubby is an oven cook, so guess who is told to,clean his own oven himself. Takes the shine out of his oven cooking enthusiasm a bit.
will leave you all to get to sleep. I'm still a bit dozy myself, so might nod off again since HRH and Hubby are still asleep.
I'm sure there's a very good reason OH has organised, hairdressers, eye checks and a friend for lunch all to happen withing 24 hours of getting home. He's also booked the oven cleaner for Friday and friends to come for dinner and stay over Saturday night.

The knee has been surprisingly good this afternoon. I'd have thought the cold would have made things worse.
