This is the first year in ages that I won't be making puddings today (Stir Up Sunday) - we have some left from last year.  We also have some mincemeat left.  We were at MIL's last year and didn't eat a lot at home.

Morning all - not quite so cold here today but is expected to be around minus 8 or 10 on the hill, so I can't lend you my fleecy buff and headband Dove - sorry image

I'll have to get a jog on as well to keep warm DD image

Hope everyone who's under the weather is a bit better today  and things are brighter for doc and RB's son. Seems to be a bit drier in most places which always helps.

Off for a quick look round before I head out so wrap up warm and have a nice day everyone. I'll catch up with you all later image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning all. -4°, the world is white here, frost not snow. Is it snow where you are Dove?

I like sewing, hate knitting. Trouble is that my children save up all their sewing and mending jobs for me! And now I have arthritis in my fingers.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Good morning all image

    Lovely photo Frit.

Not as cold here as it is for Lizzie but it's only 3C and we still have snow on the grass from yesterday and the bird bath was semi frozen.

    Fairy enjoy your jog image

I can smell the mincemeat DD image

Dove we haven't had Christmas pudding for some years as no one is really keen on it.

I can sew and knit but have to be in the mood for either, and I think I've forgotten how to thread the sewing machine that I desperately wanted a few years ago image

Yes, snow!  Loads of squealing and giggling children somewhere nearby - they've obviously been sent outside to make the most of it before it thaws.

KEF image  Google the make and model of your machine and 'threading' - there'll be a Utube video or diagram or something somewhere on the internet .

  • Wonky loves Christmas Pud.  We had one in our fridge left over from last year - I took it to her yesterday image

Thanks Dove, I have the instruction book I meant that is how little it has been used image

  • KEF image  I don't use mine much nowadays, but I'd be lost without it.  In times past I've made the children's clothes,  many many pairs of fully lined curtains and blinds, cushions, bedcovers, and clothes for myself, from plain and simple to posh frocks and evening wear.  Not done that for ages ...  when did I ever find the time? image
