RB ((hugs)) it's an awful thing to have happened and you're in shock ((hugs)) . Doctors can do amazing things (can't they Pdoc?) - but it will take time - thinking of you all ((hugs))
KEF ((hugs)) Join the club! I blame Ma - she's had high BP since she was younger than me - it's in me genes!

RB - nothing more I can add to what's been said. I hope things are better for your son - and you - today. Who knows what goes through the minds of the people who use these poor dogs in this way, if they have minds at all. They seem to get off lightly every time. We're all thinking of you here x
W'song - glad your son is ok too. I still believe most people are good and decent and I'd like to think I'd step in if someone was in real trouble, because one day it could be me or my children who need that help.
Off to work soon so will catch up with you all later
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Runny I am so shocked by your news and just hoping that the hospital can work some miracles, how absolutely terrible for him and all of you. Thinking of you all and sending very best wishes.
WS, awful for your son too, but encouraging to know he made a full recovery.
Sometimes I do just wonder what kind of world we live in, but then at other times people are so kind, we just have to focus on the positive and try and get awful things into some kind of perspective.
Teaching all day today and even have to go into school at lunchtime to pack and post all the artwork up for the Christmas cards, not sure quite how I am going to manage to eat lunch, think it will be a quick bit of a sandwich at the traffic lights - hope they are red as I approach.

Morning Pdoc, Dove and anyone else still around (DD will have disappeared in a puff of smoke by now)
Hope today brings better news for Runny ((hugs))
Having my hair quaffed at lunchtime (that's a Wsong-ism, but I loved it), and must find time amongst the showers to get the last of my plants in the cold frame, but other than that it is a day chained to a computer screen, thinking deep and innovative thoughts. Best get a wiggle on ....(does that count as deep and innovative)
Runny I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling I join the many many friends you have here in wishing your son a speedy recovery and I hope you find him more comfortable when you see him today. Masses of love to you too, try to keep your strength up, sometimes life is just so hard to understand.
Chicky I am so glad Mr Chicky s op to be brought forward, he will soon feel so much better and you will all be able to relax!
Winter Pat, and Busy thanks for kind wishes it was truly lovely to hug my ??ee one again. Fairy, the cushion came everywhere with me and was invaluable. With the the troubles of the world so heightened I do feel glad to be home.
