I parked in the school car park one night for a meeting - only there an hour. Someone hit my car and b*****ed off. £300 worth of damage. To say I was angry was an understatement. It was dark, but they couldn't not have known they hit me. No chance of CCTV where I was parked either.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Stopped at garage to pay yesterday's bill, drove another 10 miles and oil warning light came on OH's car. Turned round, back to garage where he topped up the oil , gave us what was left in can and topped up washer bottle. Total charge? £0.00 Bless'im
OH gone to collect Chinese takeaway.
I'm standing as my buttock is hurting like the most painful thing the most painful competition.
KEF, you have my every sympathy. I hate filling out forms, but when the bureaucracy is idiotic, . I have to fill out bank forms to cash cheques from dollars into sterling when my husband does consultancy work and the bank staff are so grateful that I taught myself to do it ,they hate filling them out too
Gertie, that's terrible news, the first week we got our previous car, the kids next door scratched it with their bikes but we couldn't prove it
That's because it's mending Hosta, you know when the blood starts flowing again
Flynn is coping better tonight as fireworks seem much further away, still trembling and wanting cuddles but at least he's not trying to climb the walls. Thank you all for advice and concerns. We have done everything that was suggested so at least we were on the right path
Had a nice surprise after work tonight, OH mustered the energy to removed a test area of floor tiles in the kitchen. This is really super pleasing as I can avoid some difficult issues laying the new floor and overall it will just be all the better for it.
That's next week though. ..first I have to work the weekend
Evening all, back from Nanna duty today, sorry to hear about your car Gertie, it's really annoying especially when you look after it so well.
Hosta not sure how you got the injury (haven't read back) but it sounds very painful, if the painkillers don't work I'd take up Topbirds offer.
Hope you enjoy your girly day Dove and Wonky, I'm off for one a week tomorrow with secondborn (a belated birthday celebration for her).
I had a terrier when I was a child that used to try and dig the carpet up to get underneath it when there were fireworks or a thunderstorm she lived until she was 16 but never got used to them.

Cheered up now. 3 cases of wine have just arrived. Should last me the weekend!!
That is so annoying Gertie, I would be unpleasantly angry and probably paranoid too.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
How maddening, Gertie, how selfish some people can be.
I feel for you Hosta. I was knocked over by a horse and got galloped on my thigh about two years ago, huge round black bruise, still hurts sometimes.
We have left Norfolk and are now in Eastbourne, seeing OH's grandchildren.
