Haha Topbird, loved the confession! I like to smell the top of Flatters head...not sure I dare get my face in the middle of four massive paws with claws to test the tummy smell think I'll take your word for it!
DD, glad your feeling a little better today, best wishes for Friday
BusyL. Good luck at the garage tomorrow, hope its just tinkering!
Sounds like you had a lovely day with your great niece Verdun
Yvie, I'm the same...I go out on daily green shoot inspections to look for signs of spring!
Kef, Sounds like you have a big join to get done, it will be lovely when you have it just how you want it
SGL, had to laugh my hubby has his mothers spare room filled with drum and bass records! Your loft/sons storage facility will be that way until he is in his late forties if my hubby is anything to go by! And he's not making any plans to move them.
Off to tuck in Flatters for the night then bed, work tomorrow, night all
Had a phone call ( calls ) from UK holiday company yesterday. Muchly apologetic over the whole Wrong Hotel issue.
They sent someone round from a local agency to try to sort it out, but to be honest, we've kinda got used to it here and don't see the point in wasting a day moving to a different hotel, unpacking, finding our feet again.
We've met some lovely , fun, and totally odd folk here ( staff and guests ) and are now enjoying things in a slightly Fawlty Towers kinda way. The manager showed us to his best " deluxe" room. He couldn't understand why we just laughed until I said
" this is our room except you've taken all our stuff away."
You've gotta laugh eh?
I've now started looking at the weather forecast for home ( sure sign the holiday is coming to an end) and it's not too bad. No real frost issues so the house should be and the polytunnels should have survived.
Moning peeps. Enjoy the rest of your hols Hosta, hopefully now all the irritations will fade ......its good you are getting a response from both the hotel and the travel company to try and make things better.
Just been scanning the news headlines....did you see they have grown the first flower in space? Or that they are advertising for an additional (not replacement) presenter for GW this year??? As you can see, even my news scanning only picks up on the gardening related bits. I think I have an obsession

Haven't got a special pack, but may still do it. Think it was last year we were able to do it on GW.
Oh heck, Wonky........at least I haven't got a drum kit !

Thanks Hazel, will make a note of the dates.

You've probably found the only good bits on the news.
