Thanks for you support , just got back , been to B & Q for new lock clasp , all that seems I have had taken is a set of 4 Plastic draws , everything tipped on floor , window broken and other vanderlism but where lucky compared to others who's sheds where burnt down
GWRS - sorry you've had to experience such thoughless vandalism. Was your window glass? If so it may be as well to replace with Perspex. What a shame for those with burnt down sheds. Hope everyone gets together to work out a way to thwart the vandals.
I've got a Kindle Pdoc but admit I've never read a book on it. I love the feel of a book in my hands too and, if they're second hand novels, I'll often read in the bath. Couldn't do that with a Kindle.
Fairy, OH has downloaded Win 10 and had a few problems. I've not got to grips with it yet for photos though reviews aren't encouraging.
Its useful for web browsing in free wifi areas too. No mobile roaming charges.
Flowers will be as I want, weather permitting. See cut flowers thread. I am experimenting with spires of gladioli tied back to back, with the top of the copper jug filled in with something round like cosmos, rudbeckia , dahlia or sedum heads. I planted some 50o or so gladioli in June to follow on from the ones that are flowering now. The late ones are starting to send up spikes, so fingers crossed.
It might have felt like summer if you'd sat on the barbecue fidget...
Flowers are looking very promising. I admire all your hard work growing the flowers for the event as well as all the other organising. I'd take my hat off if I was wearing one
Verd - the message was saying there was a 'critical error' There was no toolbar. It said it would hopefully be rectified next time I signed in. It was ok at lunchtime, and all ok now.
Has to be a real book for me too, although I appreciate a kindle is useful on holiday if you read a lot. Nothing to beat the feel of the proper page though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I always said I wouldn't read from a kindle, but once I got into it, I love it, I can turn the paper to black with white writing, then dim the whole thing, marvelous for reading in bed and not disturbing OH with light on and flicking pages.
Runny, have you read any books by Michael Jecks?
Hosta, you can't keep having holidays, what will I do when I want something, or will you take internet with you.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Cape Verde was to be last week of Nov, and first week of Dec, to cover my birthday.
We're going back to the Gamia on Jan 3rd for 4 weeks, but the weeks before , christmas and new year are really expensive, might suggest tagging it on at the end. Not sure what Waitrose would say about it.
Turned out to be a lovely sunny ,and quite warm day here in the end.
Once I sort out some din dins, I'll TRY to post some pics.

Like the idea of a Kindle, but I love the feel of an old fashioned book, even if they are a pain to take on holiday.
Seeds sown, rain was so heavy, it was starting to find its way into green house, where panes of glass have slipped.

Sort of like this. It takes about 3 days to look the best from the first flower opening on the gladioli. 7 days and they look tatty and I start again.
The dark red is called tricolor, but it is not really big enough. The tall yellow ones are called buddy, I have more of these coming on.
Daily Mail seem to think we are going to have a hard winter.

but then they also forecast a barbeque summer
Not around here it wasn't. Well maybe one day.... the day I had to work.

Lyn, don't you worry yourself my dear. x
Have a few books downloaded on this tablet, but haven't read any yet. I like to hold real books too.
Had a lovely afternoon with my little poppet.
Weather rather chilly this evening,
I do hope they're wrong about the weather fidget
Flowers look lovely, glad you're having what you want
