  • Greenhouse watered from newly filled waterbutt, watering cans refilled to make a bit more space in there as it should rain tonight again!

My day has been filled with looking at laminate flooring for our upcoming garage conversion.

    Good evening Forkers!  image

Back from grandparent duties in Ireland where we had a lovely time, though the younger, 16-month granddaughter keeps us oldies on our toes - she runs everywhere, and is into everything, the moment your back is turned.  image

Not had time yet to read back beyond today's postings - but many congrats to Chicklet on her A-levels!  image

Hope all of you who need rain are getting it... but not too much too quickly...  It's just dull here.

Anyone grow Echium pininana?  Verdun, perhaps?  Saw it growing in a walled garden in County Clare, with other exotic-looking things.  Stunning plant for those who can give it the right conditions.

Back home, the raspberries have surprised me by continuing to produce edible fruit.  The cat-sitter ate quite a lot while we were away, and I picked a load last night, making the less-than-perfect ones, plus some hurriedly frozen ones picked before Ireland, into another 7lb of jam.  It's been an amazing year for raspberries here.  image

Better make the tea, then maybe read back some more...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I'm worrrying more about her knickers! Thongs or granny pants? image

Granny pants every time for me Steve, with a little black lace just above the kneeimage. Love black lace lilyimage

    Congratulations to chicklet imageimageimage.

Liri, glad you had a good time.  You must miss them being closerimage.

LilyP I hope you managed the scan without major problems.  Hopefully the yoga training helped.

Yvie, that's a big decisionimage.  Things have changed nowadays so I'm sure discomfort would be minimal but the damage to your bank balance would be harder to take.  On the other hand they would last for the rest of your lifeimage.

Can't see any point in paying for thongs, they just disappear.!

Steve, look very carefully at laminate flooring, I had some once, I complained so much they came back and laid a nice carpet.
