Rained for 2 minutes this evening. We are desperate for it too.

Glad you had a break, DD.

Hope Dove and Wonky enjoy Bressingham as much as we did.

    Hey all!

Everyone been behaving themselves? (well apart from Wonky! What time?!?!)

Just caught up on followed threads, not dared to look at pictures thread yet - need more time!

Been thinking about tulips for two days solid, in fact since JParkers bulb porn catalogue came with GW mag.

Happy enough with my garden atm, not great but happy. Planting tubs n pots was my aim this year and it's made a huge difference to the overall look of the garden, just means everywhere else isn't so good, but that's ok, just watching for stuff maturing and making plans.

    Good morning all image

Love the way you had your migraine the d ay before the party Wonky ... that way you'll be bright eyed and bushy tailed for Bressingham today, won't you? image

It's still raining here, but the forecast tells me it's going to clear up soon, and I can certainly see the signs of some breaks in the clouds over in the west - fingers crossed folks, otherwise there's going to be a lot of cake eaten image

Of course there'll be the opportunity for plant shopping at Bressingham today and I'm trying to ensure that it's planned and targeted and not totally random - I have Aster frickartii Monch in the west border and need more similar for late colour - I seem to remember that there are some that get mildew and some that don't - can anyone remind me which are which?  Since I renewed my virus stuff yesterday morning the laptop won't let me Google!  I've not got time to sort it out today so I'm picking your brains instead - someone on there the other day said that the forum is better than Google, didn't they image

    Morning Dove.image 3.40pm here.

Nothing much happening here today ... Expecting visitors on Thursday for a week or so, so doing some spring cleaning and general tidying up.

I left the covers off the cloches last night as a trial and the vegetables seem quite happy except for having a bit of a lean-up as a result of the wind we've had the last 24 hours or so.

Hope the UK weather gets back to summer soon for you all.

    Good morning/afternoon PatE image

I may be cynical in my old age, but the fact that the school holidays started last week is what's caused the wet weather - I think the little blighters and their teachers should stay at school all summer, then the weather would be glorious!  image

We take our holiday in September, when schools have gone back and the weather's had time to improve - it always works for us image

With a bit of luck the weather will hold for your trip to Bressingham Dove.  Hope Wonky doesn't oversleep this morning after her wild weekendimage.  Have fun and cakes and don't forget your camerasimage.  Wonder if little Panda will make an appearanceimage.

When OH let the dog out late last night she went sniffing around and found a frog.  She got the fright of her life when it jumped and came running for protection.  What a wimpimage.
