Well I clearly missed something Fidget, but by the sounds of it I'm glad I did
Have had a quiet day and didn't get up to much. This afternoon I went and browsed tents with a friend . . . . it's what us Guiders do
Just trying to sort out a lift for camp at the weekend as my Ma and Pa are in Devon as my middle niece has just had her appendix out She'd been poorly and it was whipped out this morning. She's coming home tomorrow
Just watched the Autistic Gardener. We have an Autism centre opposite us and I went for a job there once. Didn't get it but programmes like this really help to educate people, even myself
Good morning all Hope the coalface isn't too onerous Hosta
Re dodgy phone calls - basically if they phone me then they're after something - also if they ask for someone with my old married name I know they're using out of date data - I usually leave the phone on the table and they're talking to themselves - occasionally with the computer scams I pretend to be a batty little old lady and talk nonsense to them - try asking if they're that nice young man down the road who came to fix the tv 'cos next time they come I'll make them a cake
Or sometimes I put on my best office voice and ask if they realise that the number they've dialled is that of a police officer? They hang up jolly quick then!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Dove - I confess to answering any number I don't know with my work address I.e. "national EMERGENCY SERVICES museum what services do you require? " if its someone I know I can pretend to being tired and oh I thought it was my work phone, if its a stranger they hesitate!
Hurt my back a few days ago but have managed to pull my garlic (suffered being trampled - not by the dog but by his lordship dragging an electrical cable across the bed) and I've decided to let the bed (it runs along the path and lawn) merge into the lawn rather than trying to train then both to walk AROUND the obstacles.
Good morning looks ok here, at the moment. Forecast for tomorrow dreadful so going to cut every open rose and be able to enjoy them. No point in them becoming waterlogged
i hate cold callers, I usually tell them I am " staff" and they hang up.
bushman I have noticed vast numbers of daisies this year, I love them
clari do watch your back, mine is now chronic and I need to see a spinal surgeon
Verdun can we have a photo of your peaches please? It's the nearest I'll get
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” A A Milne
Lily - I broke mine in five places almost 11 years ago, unfortunately it doesn't take much to hurt it and have things flare up (this time was actually three hours in a meeting on a solid chair). Spinal surgeon wont go near it so its a case of keep going til it collapses!
Has anyone seen any butterflies yet? We get exotic ones from the local butterfly farm thingy but I've not seen any natives - nor ladybirds coe to think about it
