Beaus Mum & Lesley: photos of the Colosseum, Circus, Pit or Hollow (quite like that one, thanks Yvie ) will have to wait until I get my hands on the laptop. Maybe tomorrow. I weeded it today so at least it won't turn into a sycamore plantation
SGL and - sorry, can't remember who it was - talking about panniwhatsits looking like sticks. So pleased yours are the same; I'd forgotten it was so late coming into leaf, and had a bit of a panic when I weeded round it today.
Thanks to those of you who shared your sunshine with me. Not specially warm, but perfectly ok for weeding and planting, when I got back from visiting Mum (who seems a bit more herself, though still fairly immobile).
Best wishes for tomorrow, Dove xx
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Liri, my (and MrsG's) panniwhatsit looked like a dead stick for ages last year........only bought it the year before. Really thought it was dead, but then i had lots of lovely flowers on it
Oh heck, i really fancy some malteasers.......good job i don't have any in the cupboard!!
Yes SGL, of course, it was Mrs Garden. I write half a post, then find I've forgotten who said what, look back a couple of pages, go back to where I was, & find everything I've written has disappeared...
My panniwhatsit is called Brussels Lace. I massacre it each Feb, cutting it down to about 25cm so it'll fit in to the space available, and so far it's flowered beautifully every year - such lovely long-lasting, lacy flowers.

Sshhhh everyone, no more politics. Gardening remember?
Have arrived in Eastbourne. Been to Waitrose, ate in beamy pub. Nighties all.
Did someone mention politics? I didn't notice anything on Beech grove but then it was showing on BBC Scotland
