    Hi Verdun, Dove & Stacey.

Not one I can answer Stacey.

It's become very windy here, so maybe the last of the leaves will come down and the rake can have a rest tomorrowimage

  • It's surprisingly warm here today kef although I groaned when I got into the office as Xmas decs are up!!

I think monardas are pretty hardy Stacey. I had some survive last winter in pots as I hadn't got round to planting them. I've never lost them over winter in the garden. Dry summers are what destroys mine

At one of my previous jobs the first thing our manager did when getting a new diary was to enter the date that the trimmings would be put up, usually November. None of us could have that day off. It took some fun out of decorating at home.

  • Sorry I neglected you all yesterday… it has taken ages to catch up and take in all your news. Great news Stacey, keep taking the pills. BizLiz, sorry for your car but v. glad you are OK. Something to tell the grandchildren. Gg, slow down a bit please… Sholing wasn't built in a day!

Cooking a new Nigel recipe today… Duck with Ginger and citrus….need to set duck marinading, then really must get into garden, to tidy pots, and set tulips going. Nigel eats this with rice, but plain ol' mash might sop up the juices best?

Meeting in pub tonight to discuss putting a defibrillator next to the shop. But who needs a reason ……..image

  • Good morning Woody - I agree, much prefer mash to rice for such things - does soak up those juices image.  Tidy pots??? How???? Where???? (not to mention when image).

Defibrillator sounds a good idea - lots of villages this way have them apparently.  Next step is to organise training, although apparently you can use them whilst being instructed over a mobile phone.  Still, training is even better I'm sure image

Morning all image As a trained first aider the defibrillator is a good idea, and training is a v good idea. They do have voice instructions on them when you use them - ie they 'talk' to you so training for all not essential image

BL, sorry to hear of your driving trauma, glad you are safe and well.

Pots for sisters Christmas present turned up today so will be potting up later (see my freesia thread!) Am off for brunch now so will catch up later image

Have a great day everyone x

    Morning

Sorry haven't read back but I see by the comments that Stacey is OK (hope i'm not wtong) Seems ot have been a weekend of car problems.

Yesterday was oh so cold but today is mild and have had my daily walk around the garden with just a jumper on and  no ectra layers.

Put out some old apples for birdies (25p a bag from greengrocer)

The rest of today is going to be pressing out fabric and attempting to lay out the old settee pieces to make patterns for the re-covering. Bit nervous of doing it. I am taking over the big room no humans or animals allowed image
