    Morning image

Seems I've got a few painting jobs to get on with then........ image I would recommend paint pads for those that wish to join me in decorating - much easier than a brush and less messy than a roller image

Have to pop into town shortly, catch you all later image

Coffee-time greetings, everyone.  image  Felt better this morning - cold just a short one this time, hopefully - so got the washing done & hung out while the sun shone, and since have been doing more garden pottering.  Even here it's 10C (only 50F, Runnybeak.  You lucky thing!  Whereabouts are you to be getting 70 in March?  Oh, in the sun... makes a difference of course.)

Verdun, I think the jet stream's shifted - according to last night's weather man.  Can you give it a shove please?

Good luck with the painting, Panda.  I won't tell you about the state of my hallway & stairs because you've got enough customers waiting...  image

Great that you've got the OK for work, Hostafan.  Take it gently!

DD & Lizzie - re nibbled seedlings:  something other than a slug keeps nipping stems off a cm or so above the soil.  I have bank voles in my garden so I suspect they might be to blame, but I don't have any proof...  and I'm too soft to use a mouse trap  image

Right.  Coffee finished.  Back out to tidy up that bit behind the shed where the plastic pots collect...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

showers passing through so I think it's time to prick out some seedling in the tunnel where it's warm and dry.

Back from supermarket, now have jam donuts and biscuits in the cupboard image, but have just had lunch. Must get into the garden.

    Afternoon all.

Who mentioned donuts? Oh I miss them so much!! I have the deep fat fryer thingy at home I just haven't had the confidence yet to try making some. Truth be told I'm only just mastering bread and yorkshire puddings are a no no so my confidence is truly bashed as all things baking when I could have gluten rose so beautifully.

First day of fundraising to get our "mobile museum" road legal. We (I) need to raise £2,000 which even then wont cover everything. Today we raised: £4.50. Some way to go then!! image If you know anyone in Sheffield with a spare £5 in their pocket up to no good do send them this wayimage

Just waiting for a few documents to print and then I'm homeward bound. Alas working all weekend but I'm hoping on Monday to buy a new pot to replace the one that was once containing my bay tree by the front door (now smashed to bits in the high wind while bay tree hides in an old compost bag!)

    Hello

Not sure if I was herre yesterday or not but had a lovely day

Met up in a pub half way between Sons Partners parents and here, so met Grandchildren and had a lovely meal with nearly everyone - 2 people missing - Son and daughter who had a job interview

Making mango chutney now, takes hours (literally) so at a bit of a loose end, can't really go and get mucky, can't do other stuff either

When my problems began way back October/November garden went on a back burner (obviously) as a result my perennial foxgloves were not protected and are decidedly dead image It is a shame as they were lovely last year - still does release 2 nice pots to put something else in image

Oh Clari, not good to be working on the weekend when the clocks go forward.image

Hostafan glad you have the OK to go back to work, take it easy.

Wintersong, One of my clematis plants grew legs again today.  I wouldn't mind but I only planted it a couple of days ago.imageNevermind, it looks so much nicer tied into the obelisk.  Cut back the ivy and pruned the Honeysuckle.  Shattered now.

We're decorating too this holiday.  The bathroom is getting a coat of paint and I might manage to talk hubby into painting the landing too with a bit of luck.  Kitchen to be decorated in the summer.  Hate doing that one as it's so disruptive.

Secondborn is popping in for tea tonight with partner, they are off to the west coast of America tomorrow for a couple of weeks.  They are going to Las Vegas, San Francisco and a couple of other places that involve horseback riding on a ranch.

    Lucky devils.
