Sun is kinda out here, which in my book makes it perfect for gardening, not too hot and not too cold.
It's attack the bramble day here today. I have a friend coming round who's going to give me a hand. I don't think I'm going to get it all out though as the root is behind a old lilac stump that refuses to give up the ghost, husband of woman I bought the house from 'roughly' chopped it down and they left the stump in. It is having a darn good go at coming back!
I may also plan how I'm going to remove my patio apple tree. I have a magnolia to put in it's place. Still not sure if I'll try to save the apple tree and resite or put in a pot or get rid. answers on a postcard to . . .
Good morning Panda have a lovely gardening day - great to have a friend to help out - don't forget, lots of sitting back and gazing admiringly on your handiwork with a cuppa in your hands - absolutely compulsory - you have to pace yourself
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all. Only just woken up! Late night but didn't realise some of you were up late too! Weather looks good for a day in the garden so I should get myself out of bed right now! Like lily I had the best night sleep for weeks.
Verdun - you must be so relieved for your mum, im pleased for you, she must be an impressive lady to fight back at 92, I think perhaps you have her spirit? Just a thought ( then I'll mind my own business) but who has power of attorney, there are 2 types, one financial and one for medical issues, it might come in handy if its not already in place.
Right - garden...what to do? Look at my lost over coffe to start with. I was planning where my 8 clems would go late last night so will make a start with that. All going in pots as arches not coming unrltil good Friday now ( due today). Will prune back and plant on next spring when im sure about their positions. Yubs bought from morrisons ??2 each!
Oh about my garden - I was worried we would turn it into concrete jungle what with large decking, paving and paths as well as some AstroTurf. But im happy so far and still have lots still to start on, much more planting now rather than just grass.
Woke up to a sunshiny day and was so pleased the weather forecast was wrong, I wanted to weed my veg patch (again!!! Little unwanted babies appearing) ready for my seeds arriving. It is now grey and raining, OH just managed to mow the lawn in time.
Friends round tonight so won't be on until later (maybe). Missing football today because I want to be in the garden
Another dreich day here and more forecast for tomorrow. No use for painting and putting up trellis and I've sown seed so not much more I can get on with. Grass needs a cut but not possible with all the rain we've had this week. If it could get above 7 or 8 degrees through the day it would help feel more spring like.
Off for a look at the posts I've missed and see what everyone's up to.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Verdun, I am so pleased your Mum is ok., it must be a huge relief for you. Made me think I must enjoy more of my Mums company, because you just dont know what tomorrow may bring.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Makes you realise they don't live forever doc, doesn't it? It's tough to deal with. I'm lucky mine lived long lives and didn't have to go into a home or have long stays in hospital.
Hope your back's a bit better now.
Been drawing up my garden plans on a bigger scale this morning. Know what I want but will have to wait for more suitable weather which is always a bit frustrating.
Well, it's that or ironing and hoovering....

Verdun, if you can't find room for that clematis, I could probably squeeze it in over here .......
