I have never seen a woodpecker in my 21 years but since we have moved I have heard them!
thats lovely about your new job fritt and hope you don't spend all your earnings at the bar when you finish your shift
wow that sounds a fab car doc and I'm sure you will fall in love with it soon! Doesn't hurt to trade in for a younger model certainly turned my life round doing so
Beaus Mum- Surely there are more important things than spending it at the bar. How about the G C. But there again it will be nice to buy the granchildren presents when it is their Birthdays now. Haven't been able to do so before.
I'm a glass half empty kind of girl and can sympathise with feeling like nothing matters. Then again, I do make this chap at work laugh. he says "I love the way you see things in life" so I can't be all that bad? Chin up old bean. Enjoy your garden.

Verdun, give me my sun back It's overcast today and much colder although running a temperature has its advantages I'm still under the weather but I popped a pill and got outside for a while. It's a tonic that I just can't do without.
Brrrrrrrrrrrr! Just been up to the farm shop - everyone's shivering!!!
I've come back with some pork chops and sweet potatoes - I'll bake the potatoes and we'll open a tin of sweet corn to go with them and the chops for supper.
I also came home with a small bag of Liquorice Torpedoes
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Verdun, it's reached the dizzy height of 8.2C here, but the wind's coming from the northeast, straight off the North Sea - did you know that the reason Cromer crabs are so much smaller and sweeter than the ones down south is because they grow more slowly in the colder water of the North Sea.
