Evening all. Its been ages since I last posted so thought I'd pop in and see who was about. Good to hear ponds doing well Dove.

Did you get your GH up Orchid?

All good here. Decided to buy some bare root fruit trees from Reads yesterday. Very excited. Hopefully they will arrive for the weekend so that i can plant them. Went for Plum Marjories seedling and Opal and Cherry Celeste. I know it'll be a while before I get any fruit but excited to have a go at cordons and espaliers.

I found the shooting star is a ballard hybrid and is sterile. image

My double yellow got decapitated. I'm hoping it will send up some leaves from the rootstock, but I'm not holding my breath.

I will take some seeds off the Ashwood hybrids if they set and grow those on.

Is no-one defending the Lancashire contingency on here? We seem to have a Yorkshire vs the South thing going on LOL image My OH is from Yorkshire....hence why it took me so long to get him to allow spending money on a GH, only tempted by the thought of how much money he can save by growing our own veg imageimage
