Morning all. Foggy and chilly here. The birds had their woolly jumpers on when I went out to feed them. Lots of lovely spidery webs with diamonds on them image

Glad the TWIGS had a lovely day. Pix are great. Cakes are big. image

Have a good day BL and lily. Not sure what I'm doing today but shoulders are very sore with digging and then lifting out the 'whirly' (which is concreted into a bucket) to move it image I'm sure some tea and toast will help image

Morning all, I hope everyone is ok and I've not missed much.  It has been a hectic few weeks to say the least and by the time I got home and settled it has been quite late and I haven't felt like looking at a computer screen of any sorts!!  Also, I've not had a minute in the garden so felt a bit of a fraud on a Gardening forum!!!  Anyway, today I am going to plant my bulbs so felt I could pop by and say hello. image

I'm going to go back a few pages and trying and catch up in this week but won't be able to manage more than that image

The pieces of cake you see are only halves of the original portions!

Glad all is going well Tracey - its bound to be hectic at the start of a new business - but its great to see you and hear how its going.

Have a good day in London Lily - is this the postponed birthday treat??

glad the sun shone on the Twigs - the forecasters got it wrong all round yesterday - we too had layers that needed to be discarded in sunny Devon.

sounds like major excavations going on in Fairy's Garden - that whirlygig was going nowhere on its own was itimage.

finishing my cuppa, then out to do some weeding.   Got guests coming at 1pm, so it will only be a couple of hoursimageimage

Morning OL - lovely to see you again. We wouldn't think you were a fraud. image

Glad you're busy and hope all is going well  image

chicky - it might have been easier to just create another bed and re gravel the rest but I wanted some grass.  Re the whirly - it was one of those fittings that just gets pushed into the ground. The previous owner had done that. Looked fine till you put washing on it...image

Sun is trying to come out now image

Good to see you OL.  I'm not surprised you haven't found time to look at the forum with the long days you've been having. Enjoy the fresh air while you're out bulb plantingimage

That was a long day yesterday chicky but it sounds as though it was worthwhile.  Any chance of seeing the pics from the train windowimage

No wonder you are aching Fairy with everything you have excavatedimage  Have you thought of anything to do with your kerbstones, bricks etc.  If not and you want to get rid of them you could always dig big holes in the garden and bury themimageimage

Enjoy your lunch Lizzieimage.  I'm looking forward to hearing how KEF's ouzo gravy turns outimage

Very funny Lesley...image I bet there's none in the bit where the extension will go! image

I think KEF's already had the gravy - that's why she's not on here yet image

Dove - that must have been nearly a whole cake between two! image

I may even put washing out as it's getting sunny. Not sure I can manage any more slab shifting/digging etc though. Might be plant moving and other jobs which are getting sidelined just now.

    More tea first though image
