Well, I had a walk around the garden. Restaked the new trees, extra support to liquidambar as it was looking more weeping than columnar. GC guy said it was soft as stored somewhere warm before delivered to them so not hardened off properly. Hope it will be ok, if not it'll be getting replaced by GC. Other than that I just looked in despare at plants and came back in :/

Hope you all have a more fruitful garden day.

Hi all.  Around for a day or three now before I jet off to foreign climes for a bit.  How's everyone? (Better than me I hope - toothache image)

Hi Steve,  I can sympathise with you thereimage. You'd better get it sorted before you go away.  Where are you off to?  Somewhere warmer I hopeimage

Lily I could be wrong but I think Panda had something to do with guides arranged for this weekend.

Tenerife image  It's OH's 50th and she wanted somewhere hot!  Prob too hot for me but there we are...

Managed to get an appointment for this pm - private, so expensive but no alternative really.

Just in for a coffee. Absolutely beautiful here today.

I am so surprised at how much is flowering, despite me being around to "primp and pander" Dahlias and  Cannas still flowering, and the Asters are putting on a good show, but the weeds are taking over.

Hope those with rain get some sun later.

How can you lie there and think of England

Had forgotten how truly spectacular this stretch of railway is - feels like the train is actually in the sea image. Brilliant sunshine too - verd must have obliged and sent it this way. Embarrassing the chicklets by taking pics out the window and gasping in appreciation at the scenery - its all part of the character building service i provide as a parentimage

Tut Tut Steve - giving away a lady's age.  We are all 27 on hereimage  Hope your appointment goes OK and that you have a great time.

Sounds lovely chickyimage.  You are doing really well in the embarrassing league table and the girls will appreciate the effort you have put in in a year or twoimage

We still have a bit of colour here pdoc and I've been watching a few Red Admirals flitting about the garden - well it's better than workingimage

    Mornin'

Persuaded OH that we really needed  to drive via a nursery today on the way to butchers.

Purchased some very bright pansies for a pot and a wish list Bergenia 'Bressingham White'(white garden) I know they are a bit thuggish but it's just what's needed and easy to split and spread about next year

Think I will plant it straight away and also need to finish getting in Begonias - didn't seem this many when I put them out in late springimage
