    Good morning all image

Welcome to Mikey and Potters image   Looking forward to hearing about your gardening exploits.

We were told there wasn't going to be a frost here, but the air temp got down to -1.3C at some stage during the night image but it's back up to 3.3 now and there's beautiful pink streaks across the sky.  Hefty's been out and about and had his supper - he's a messy chap or chappess!  We refer to him as a chap, but we don't know which he is really.

Morning - wet and warm here.  The magnolia has turned slightly pinky brown, meaning yesterday's frost got it.  However 2/3 rds of the flower buds yet to open, so they might still be ok.  Think the fleece helped the Pieris escape.  Tricky business this spring malarkeyimage

    Morning Andy image

Builders coming today to do some odd jobs and they're going to finish the pond off as well and put some new gravel boards in where we've raised the level of the garden with the soil we've removed!  Then I can get on with some shrub planting.

Guests here tomorrow so the big clean up begins, slowly realising I think I will have to cook a recipe after all image have a good day workers and all.
