Evening all. Slept most of the day and still feel tired and stressed. Un fortunately mum is starting to lose sight in remaining good eye again, so emergency appointment tomorrow and then I may have to go down again.
Chicky, I spent some of my student days among the dreaming spires of Oxford, Christchurch College. I did not appreciate it then, but do now if I go back for reunions.
Thanks for every ones support.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I am so sorry to hear that pdoc, is it west country your mum lives? I seem to remember you mentioning it before
It is very difficult looking after parents when they get old, just think what they must have gone through when we were teenagers!.
I feel that if we do all we can, and suggest all that will help them, then we cant do anymore, and we then will have nothing to feel guilty about.
They do like to hold onto their independance for as long as possible, my parents are 86 and 90 and have just now given in to me doing almost everything for them and mum said today, ythat she is pleased and is enjoying my help.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Good morning all I went out into the garden about half an hour ago and was greeted by a frog hopping across the lawn towards me - we both stopped and looked at each other, then he plopped into the pond
Hefty and chums have eaten all their supper and had a party on the terrace again
Yesterday we watched a beautiful green dragonfly laying its eggs in the plants around the pond - it must have got a bit muddled as it then laid an egg on the lawnmower
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'm sooo stiff this morning after thoroughly weeding the largest border. A bit of stretching and dog walking should sort me out to tackle the next. Oh, and got SM shopping to do too.
Have a good day saltminers. OL hope today's trip to London goes smoothly and that little man is feeling better. Sounds wonderful where you are chicky.
Lucky you seeing the buzzards yesterday bekkie
Hope your Mum's appointment goes ok Punkdoc. Thinking of you.
Morning from hogwarts. Will take a photo before i go. The gardens are beautiful - really well stocked. I guess the courtyards are the equivalent of walled gardens as a microclimate. There is the largest pyracantha i have ever seen, smothered in berries, on one wall.
Got up a bit earlier today as am having a new mobile delivered I got a good deal, managed to reduce the amount I pay a month, and got a £119.99 phone for £19.99 coz I've been a good customer - I do a type of pay as you go, so no free upgrade for me Good job OH is at home all day as could be delivered between 7am and 9pm
Hope you all have a great day, looks like it might be here
