    Morning.    Beaus Mum.....we have come through without damage. Thank you for asking. A noisy night and we went out several times to check things out.  Not that we could have done anything!

    envying all those going for a picnic, you would be pretty chilly doing that here.  Autumn showing her face everywhere I look.  Does anyone know a sure way to get my tomatoes to ripen?

    If the tomatoes have started to change ripen i.e. have turned a paler green, they will continue to ripen if picked and taken indoors into the warm.



    If they are still a darker green they've not started to ripen so don't pick them - if you do they will remain green.



    Here in Norfolk I'm not considering picking my tomatoes and bringing them indoors yet - last year mine continued to ripen on the vine well into September image

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
