Fan here at the cliff face is just wafting hot air around. Might have to send the delivery driver out for ice cream

  • Had 4 hour shift on garden, potting uo self sown seedlings, tidying, watering, chatting to my neighbour and helping him with the tractor mower we use on the paddock. Came in, showered, and promptly slept soundly for an hour and a half imageimageimage.

I think you earned that rest Woodyimage.  I have only done a bit of weeding and deadheading then watched the grass being cut by OH.

An ice cream would go down well here too fidgetimage

Oh, MrsG hope you get rid of the rat.  Don't think I could go near the compost eitherimage.

  • My neighbour tells me he has heard some wildlife type noises in my garage. Plan to give it a good spring, or should that be autumn,-clean later in the year so who knows what we might find. I have someone to help me, so between us we might be brave enough image.

My daughter, OH and her 2 children, & her friend with her 2 children are staying. Plus one son and his OH and baby stayed last night and then other daughter, 3 small sons & OH arrives on Friday. But Saturday we are off to Yorkshire to see friend and Uncle. Daughter staying here on holiday.

But bad news this morning, daughter who is here had her house in North of France burgled, neighbour rang Police and they just took her jewel box, full of sentimental things of not much value. She's very upset. They'd bought an expensive new burglar proof front door, they broke it.

That's horrible BL. It just shows - if they want to get in, they will, and sentimental items can't be replaced. Been there  image

Hot at work for me too. Usually trying to keep warm in there, as it's an old, draughty building, so the heat really hits you when you go outside! No breeze at all to help so we may need ice cream too image

Take care in your garage Woody.  Those squirrels can be dodgy if they're looking for nuts...image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

BL - awful when the sentimental things go, hope she still has a good time with ou and the rest of the family. I'll see you soon in Yorkshire!image

Rat blocks bought but chap says they wont come for it if they aren't there, so what can I do for prevention? Or to encourage them in order to get rid of them? ughhh.

Next project - I want a weeping willow tree that I've seen, think I have room but need to dismantle the kids climbing frame thingy and might be in trouble for that. But hey ho...

Had the best day out at Renishaw Hall Gardens (BL - if you are in that part of Yorkshire, well it's Derbyshire actually). It has to be one of my new favourite places. Will post pics and comments on gardens visited later when more time. AND they had a brugmansia in worse shape than mine!(although my single flower is the best thing on earth just now, family aside)image
