Hello folks - no gardening here today - more pondering , and perusing of my new book Christopher Lloyd's The Well-Chosen Garden. I used to get it out of the library at least once a year - now I've got one of my own for the p&p plus 1p
Allium, the tip re soaking the chilli seeds in tea was of the chilli thread and it was Stacey who said it although Dove may have mentioned it and I missed it. I think they are quite slow to germinate.
Had to weed my border today....nasty weed in there well spotted by Dove, but all gone now - wish I could say the same for the veg patch!!
Well done on the GH Poddington, if we can't get a decent weekend. May end up taking a day off in the week to get it up.
Off for my piano lesson in a bit, I'm going to get told off because practising has been out in the back burner in favour of the garden - oops!!
Lily, I think Allium meant many rather than manpty
Pod, I agree, holding and absorbing shouts is very important. Well done on construction
Mac cheese for tea with garlic bread for starters might not be 'cordon blu' (sp?) cooking but one of our favs! None for skinny minny Dove though - well done
Chicky, hope Chicklet gets better. Is what I want when I am poorly, my mummy to give me a cuddle
On Saturday I planted out two rhubarbs that I got from the potato fair before in January.
Put out mums raised bed with her help and filled with compost and added more soil around the pond then moved plants from near house around garden to where they may end up growing
Sunday wet and windy out so stayed in and cleaned some plant labels
This is my straw bug box I finally finished off and put out
Been on a quick trip to station today garden looking good all the daffs out
Here is a picture of the garden
