I have just seen three waxwings in my garden (Doncaster)Although i'm no expert bird watcher i had never seen this bird before and was interested to find out what type it was.Through this site i was able to do so. Many Thanks.
Today and yesterday saw 30-40 close up, in my garden munching on berries. Beautiful exotic looking creatures with a sweet chattering song (Utley, West Yorks) photos on flickr. First time for me was very excited.
7 waxwings on our aerial at 5 pm, my partner noticed them as he walked down our road. He didn't recognise the plumage on their heads. Kendal Cumbria LA9 7AN
Seventeen waxwings in the trees within the Ordnance Survey site, Romsey Road, Southampton at 4pm. Flew off eastwards at about 4.15pm. Feeding off berries within the site.
i have seen a flock of around a dozen of them in trees around B T yard in Lincoln rd Enfield last week, i also saw a single bird today 15/2/ at same address
I had about 25 birds feasting on a crabapple tree in the garden this afternoon. Not a bird I recognized or have ever seen before, but having looked it up the only thing they resemble are waxwings. We are on the outskirts of a small town in West Yorkshire not far from Ikley
