    Sorry about the numerous errors in my last post.  Written in a temper.image

    Waterbuts, that made me concentrate. image Reminded me of Danny Kaye - 'The pellet with the poison is in the vessel with the pestle, the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true, right?' etc.

    Let's hope that Hover returns.

    Um.....I am sure your way works just fine for you Waterbutts image 

    I was taught by RHS that plum trees should be pruned June/July and even on this site it says the same thing....just saying image

    I prune plums immediately after picking the fruit off.

    If everyone read up and knew what they were doing before they did anything there's be no use having this Forum, which is about seekng and giving advice - not just posting opinions on the world in general.

    Thought I recognised SD's style - recent behaviour has confirmed  my suspicionsimage
