sI have decided to have a virtual closing down party on Wednesday 20th AND 27th... a bit like Christmas and New Years eve, with a countdown leading up to the big bong.
It's a 'bring your own' party - although I may provide some music (given my taste, you also may want to bring your own 78s).....
It will be fancy dress with the theme being 1920s Prohibition and Speakeasy culture...let your hair down and drag out those old flapper dresses.....

Edited to add: I may need some help with my playlist. I thought I'd make it in some way related to gardening - but also 'party' music. I'm going with (so far):
Marvin Gaye - I heard it through the grapevine
Bobby Womack - California Dreamin'
Donald Fagen - Green Flower Street
Four Tops - Midnight Flower
Paul Weller - Sunflower
Santana - Flor D'Luna (Moonflower)
Aretha Franklin - A rose is still a rose
Marv Johnson - I'll pick a rose for my rose
Nat King Cole - Ramblin' Rose and Honeysuckle Rose
Paul Weller - English Rose
Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Trampled rose
Sting - Desert Rose
Jnr Walker - Way back home....

Edited again: Please note talking about politics will be banned - as will talking about:
Cats
Dogs
Pets in general
Family
Illness
Religion
Fun
Babies
Alcohol
Food and Drink
Flowers and gardening
Power Tools (and hand tools .....)
Cars
Holidays
TV
Apps and anything online (or offline)
Computers and technology
Dreams for the future
The past
Now
....
I will be adding a few more as I think of them - obviously the aim is to stop anything contentious that may cause offence..

    Great idea!

Count me in, though I'm not sure what's left to talk about?

    Weather?
    Banana skins for fertiliser?
    Composition of commercial compost?

    Anyone inviting the Paparazzi?

I gather it will be a silent party apart from music?  :o

...yes, but the music will be so loud that you won't be able to hear anyone speak anyway...
I have invited chatgpt if you do want someone intellectual to talk to though - it/she/he hasn't replied as yet.

...that's another thing that will be banned - talking about any form of public unrest or insurrection...
