You chaps do know there's a dedicated photography board on Gardeners Corner. Using that would mean we can all see your photos............
Yes, I saw that but it's not the same as what we had here, and the general gallery doesn't look very active. I'm one of those (probably) not joining GC for other reasons.
Best of luck with your new forum. I hope it proves popular when it's more up and running and teething problems have been sorted out.
I don't know if anyone is interested, or maybe aware of this already, but there is a free forum startup with Proboards. Supposed to be totally free and easy to set up, and very comprehensive.
Thanks, @Marlorena. Proboards is one of the ones I looked at but uploading photos is a bit of a faff.
The permissions should now be sorted out and members should be able to post and reply on all sections. Guests can view everything except chat, but cannot post on anywhere except on the 'any questions' section.
Thank you for considering me but I really take such awful photos! The start of "close up of flowers" came about from something we saw in our garden. It was the stunning photos from members that made the thread that it was. I will keep looking at ways to continue to contribute to a new forum. As always thank you for all
@bertrand-mabel It's not about how great your images are, it's about sharing and enjoying the subjects we love (mostly plants) and have a bit of fun with people we've got to know. I for one would love you and anyone along for whatever reason, but of course that's up to you.
@NormandyLiz no other forum looks like what we had here. The GC on is certainly lively now that so many GW posters have joined and I'm sure the gallery threads will pick up as the season advances.
Probably easier to manage than running one by yourself.
I'm sorry about all the problems you've had recently and understand your reluctance to try new. I hope everything works out better soon.

Thanks for all you have done Liz to set up the photo group. My heads and eyes are aching with all the new platforms (my eyes don't work wonderfully). The photo forum looks good.
I am sorry that you have had a hellish time of late. I hope your man is ok.

I belong to a small forum that started with Proboards. After a few years there were problems, it seemed to clog up so we started a new forum using another site. Was a bit upsetting at the time. Even the new forum loses our oldest photos.

But thanks for the thought, it's kind of you.
@Sheps and I have made 'albums' in the Gallery. Works quite well.
I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
