Possible private photo forum?

This is carrying on a thought from the creative photo thread... Would anyone else like to keep in touch and share photos (on any subject)? If so, I actually already have a forum we could use. I set it up some time ago when we (a local community association and I) were looking to start a photo group. It went nowhere but the forum still exists.

It's currently in French and the very top headings would probably have to stay so but the rest I can do whatever with. We could have creative processing; flowers, trees, etc; wildlife; random anythings.

This is the forum https://caraphoto.forumactif.com/

As you can see, either join or pm me here if you're interested. I would normally say I'll fix it first but we don't have a huge amount of time before we loose contact.

    Hello

I have seen the quality of your photos Liz, is it possible just to be on the forum to admire and perhaps post the odd pic that isn't too bad? I don't mind at all that the forum is in French, in fact I am trying to connect with more "local" stuff.
I can pm you with my email if you think it will help.

Gudde moien, @coccinella! My Luxembourgish is shamefully poor (given I'm a Luxembourger!), but I can remember how to say hello  :)

Any ex-GWers photo forum could be whatever we want. It would have to be (predominantly) in English though. Lurkers/occasional posters would of course be very welcome.

The first step is to see if there is enough interest. The next is to see what structure and format works. I suggested my existing forum because it is there and because time is short, but if it ends up with too much French still, it might be better to start again and decide among ourselves what we want. I'd do that if there were at least half a dozen or so interested.

If anyone else wants to join as a contributor or (semi)lurker, pm me your email address and I'll see how many we are and we can take it from there.

I’m not great at figuring out how to post photos, but would be interested in posting comments and admiring other photos if that’s ok?

    In English!!!

I did this quickly this morning, it is just the bare bones but it gives you an address to bookmark. Join now if you like, of course.

What would be helpful would be to know if there are any suggestions while I'm setting it up. For anyone who finds posting photos tricky, I will do a step by step guide over the next day or two but it will take a bit of time to make it as clear as possible.

Trying to join/register @NormandyLiz - all ok but keeps asking for 'please include a PART before your user name, user name is not complete'. What is a PART?? Help!!

Oh dear, I'm not sure. I registered as just Liz and it was fine. Can you try another user name? Anything will do for now, I can change it later if you can't.

Thanks for the quick reply. Word for word, what it actually says is "Please add a part followed by @ '@AnnaB' is incomplete". ??????
If I cannot sort it, will try another day, as would like to join.
