Joined both Houzz.com and Gardeners Corner,  but Houzz is proving a difficult one to use.
The closing of this site is a crying shame, and GW should be ashamed of itself!

It's a very long time since GW or the BBC had anything to do with this forum. It's run by an independent media business.
the email that I have received is from GW and BBC, so they are responsible. the sig reads: 'The team at GardenersWorld.com and BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine'. And TV licence's money is feeding into these productions. If this is how they care for the community, I will be not interested in anything else that is related.

I would have thought that Immediate Media paid the BBC for the license to use its name not the other way round, but I could easily be wrong.
BBC Magazines used to be part of the BBC but it was sold off in (I think) 2011 or thereabouts. More info on the history here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immediate_Media_Company

The site and magazine are nothing to do with the BBC or GW these days.
