We’re very sad to announce that the GardenersWorld.com Forum will be closing.
A need to focus on the development of new features, tools and services
means we’re no longer able to support a forum on the site.
Here’s what to expect before the final closure:
Wednesday 20 March, 2024
The forum will close to new posts. Users will then have a further seven
days of access to the private messaging service, to contact anybody they
wish to stay in touch with.
Wednesday 27 March
The forum will finally close at noon and will no longer be accessible via GardenersWorld.com.
If you’re a registered Forum user your login will still work for the
main site, GardenersWorld.com. This means you’ll be able to enter
competitions and, if you’re a Gardeners’ World Magazine subscriber,
access your Premium content, offers and other benefits.
Please understand that the decision to close the Forum has not been
taken lightly. We’re extremely grateful to all of our Forum users, from
seasoned regulars to passing visitors and want to thank everyone who has
contributed or visited over the years. The support, expertise and
encouragement you’ve shared have been inspirational proof that time
spent online can be positive and productive.
Thank you all,
The team at GardenersWorld.com and BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine
This is very sad!! I know I haven't been a member for very long, but the knowledge gained in that short while was just incredible and sadly is not available elsewhere, and now this .
@lesleybonariustgYzRMxe@Sandra A Many users here have created a new account at https://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/ - you may want to as well. There is a large influx of users there (coming from here), something to bear in mind so we take some time to learn their ways
Crazy decision. I know I've only posted here a handful of times but that's because I haven't needed to post much, I've gained a huge amount of useful knowledge from forum searches, from reading the announcement it looks like even those historic posts will be lost.
Do the site owners not see that an active forum drives traffic to their main site?
Joined both Houzz.com and Gardeners Corner, but Houzz is proving a difficult one to use. The closing of this site is a crying shame, and GW should be ashamed of itself!

It's a very long time since GW or the BBC had anything to do with this forum. It's run by an independent media business.
