Yes, it’s very sad indeed. Like all of you, I thought he was making a recovery. I liked watching the Hairy Bikers, they had such a good rapport with each other and seemed so genuine. Si will be devastated I imagine, as they were so close.
Genuine, decent, top guy - we have loved all the Hairy Biker series from day one. They always seemed to have such fun while occasionally embracing serious, emotive subjects with kindness and sensitivity. I watched the programme about his cancer journey (broadcast at Christmas) through a veil of tears - a story told with heartbreaking honesty.
I hope he and Steve Wright are sat somewhere right now having a good belly laugh and sharing a plate of pie and chips. The world is a poorer place without those two shining lights.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
One of my all time favourites. Along with Si, I loved their down-to-earth approach to cooking. Their programmes on TV were always a delight. He will be sadly missed. R.I.P.

So sad, I have been watching the 'new' series. Dave was only just saying how amazing and grateful he was to be back on the road with his 'old mucker Si' after being off road for some time. He was embrassing every second of it. RIP Dave.
