RIP Dave Myers - a Hairy Biker

So very sad 😢

that has actually made me tearful (and that doesn’t happen often). How very sad. He will be very very missed … he seemed like such a genuinely good guy with his heart and his head in the right place.

    Me too.
He was such a lovely guy and they made great educational entertainment together.
    Very sad news 😢

My OH has just told me this news. I was shocked because l thought he was in remission, if not fully recovered.
He always came across as such a nice chap and l have fond memories of him in Strictly some years ago. He wouldn't have set the dance floor alight, but he gave it his all.
My heart goes out to his family and "Kingy".

    nice guy, good decent food.
No dry ice, no hay in the oven, not served on a plank of wood or sauce poured from a tea pot or any other pretentious nonsense

How sad.  One of my favourite "no frills" cooking programme.

He came across as a genuinely nice man, with no side to him.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

Just so sad. Like @floralies and @AnniD , the last time I read or saw anything, he seemed to be stable, so it looked very promising. He seemed to be such a nice chap, as @Emerion says - and 'normal' compared to so many of these self obsessed 'celebrity' chefs.

It is sad, but at least he and Si King managed to make a final series together last year.  It's on currently.

I hope his family and friends can draw some comfort from knowing how many people loved him.
