the non-chronological timeline is a massive turnoff.
    how does it work?

Another issue is they've removed the ability to sort hashtags chronologically, so when you click on a hashtag it now only shows you popular images using that hashtag, instead of recent ones.
There is the option to see the more recent top posts...which isn't as great as the previous recent option but it's something.

Also the timeline is more logical if you sort it by the accounts you follow, I find it keeps most things fairly chronological...but not as simple as it was years ago.

Unfortunately many of the issues with sorting through photos is due to them trying to be Snapchat and now TikTok by focusing on video which frankly doesn't interest me much. But that's the lack of creativity of Meta as a company, just copies competitors and calls it a day.

I follow about 30 gardens, gardeners etc, and when I log on I see their latest posts and can engage in chat if I want, but they do give me suggested posts, which do at least seem to follow the same theme.

Can I come right back to @LG_’s line “ So, since 2021 I have posted one picture day from my garden.”

I am moderately lax about internet security but what happens, LG, when you go on holiday? Can you be certain that no one can discern your address from your social media footprint and attempt to burgle you deducing the house will be empty?

I still post when I go away... (I'm rarely away long, so take a few photos of things in advance, choosing subjects that I know are very unlikely to change in appearance over the course of a few days). Also, just because I'm away doesn't mean the house is empty.

I love Instagram, as it is current, quick, and has limitless information. Is it a particular gardening account you are following @Beaus Mum  or just in general?

I had an instagram account for years without posting anything, I had 35 followers of absolutely nothing. :) But I recently started posting photos of my garden and following other gardens. Great photos on instagram
