    Maybe this’ll work …

As regards paper sizes this site explains it all: https://www.papersizes.org/

Why is it that Americans are intent on disregarding the International Standards, as if they lived on another planet? :p
It still amazes me that the US won't adopt the metric system or any kind of sensible international systems at all come to that. The ISO paper sizes are so logical and maintain aspect ratio no matter how you change the size.
As with everything on that side of the pond, though, I suspect that corporate profit is being prioritised above the benefit to the people.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I think @Topbird means the constant reoccurrence of something @B3.
I could another word to that sentence...but I'll refrain  :D

Corporate profit is at work here in Ireland, too, @wild edges - apparently the government encouraged big pharmaceutical companies to come here by agreeing that there would be no cheap generic drugs available as competition.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Corporate profit is at work everywhere.  🤨  We are but pawns in their money-making games.

I have no need of a chart to tell me when to harvest.  I just go and see what's ripe for the picking and eating or preserving.

As for US sizes, they can't even measure a pint properly.

That 'other word' preceded by the word 'irritating' was the first thought that sprang to mind when I saw this thread @Fairygirl 🤭
    Such a potty mouth.
