forum tweaks?

  If you use the dismiss button the cog goes and the thread travels down the post as other threads do.... If you don't dismiss it. it stays at the top of the thread.

  Yes, it reappeared after I had successfully dismissed it on the first occasion.  Now it sits there but without the Dismiss option.  Seems to be the only Announcement thread which has done this.  Other Announcements which I have dismissed have remained dismissed.
  Not a life threatening issue - I just wondered if anyone else had the same issue

  I'd forgotten all about the Dismiss function but have just used it on those 2 Xmas greeting threads.  We'll see if it's worked next time I login.

  It hadn’t occurred to me to use the dismiss button for the old Christmas message threads! Just done that, and they’ve gone. Thanks for the hint.

  I seem to have lost the little cog wheel now against all threads on the Homepage now .They were there last week. All I have now is an open star sign. I’m on an ipad.
