Yeah, they never cease to fascinate me. I studied lichens at Uni many years ago so I can recognise the green 'goblets' as belonging to a Cladonia species, probably 'pyxidata' (Pixie Cup) but I'm stumped by the adjacent waxy brown protruberances. Are these another species or even not a lichen at all?

The brown bits are associated with that black mat which is one of the pelt lichens (Peltigera). There are quite a few species though and I don't know much about lichens yet. I took some photos of pelt lichens a couple of weeks ago to learn more about them and haven't got around to it yet
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
