8pm tonight. Third of the four compliation programmes.
"Monty plants up some pots with shade-loving plants for a summer display, while Arit Anderson joins a group of young carers at a community garden in West Sussex, where they go for respite, friendship and fun. In Liverpool, Toby Buckland visits a community who have regenerated their streets through the power of plants, and in Bristol, Joe Swift checks out an extraordinary community food growing project.
There's an interior designer in London whose use of houseplants at home has allowed him to reconnect with nature, and an allotment holder who grows a huge array of unusual vegetables. And another look at the first time the show featured sisters Mandy, Kirsty and Becky from Dorset, who captured peoples’ hearts on social media with their gardening exploits.
Last of the four ccompilation episodes, at the later time of 9.30pm.
" Monty and the team are revisiting some of the best home-grown highlights of Gardeners’ World to bring tips and inspiration for the gardening year ahead.
Monty plants out one of his favourite flowers for cutting – sweet peas. Frances Tophill meets a grower looking at alternative ways to use cut flowers, while Sue Kent goes in search of heritage veg that are easy to cultivate. Nick Bailey visits a garden in Herefordshire designed to make the most of its glorious rural setting, and Rekha Mistry celebrates her successes, and reviews a few disappointments, in her new garden in the Peak District.
There's also a couple who grow plants specifically to attract moths and butterflies."
Also a heads up that a new series "Monty Don's Spanish Gardens" begins next Friday
Is it just me but the last two seasons of GW i've found rather boring mostly, it seems to have drifted too far from its core reason for being, just my opinion.
