Not pelargonium tomentosum - plant ID help

    I think Salvia argentea's leaves are wavy edged, @timhayes00149025, so Verbascum or Lychnis coronaria look more likely...
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    I think verbascum is most likely. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts.

    I think it's likely verbascum thapsus which is a nice native. You should be able to tell because they have a deep tap root. 

    Those lovely wooly leaves inspired the moniker "miners/cowboy toilet paper".
