Thanks for the advice gardenersuze & dovefromabove

Such a lovely photo! You posted that second one on a post I made asking about narrow shrubs and it inspired me to get one :) I'll give it a good feed. After being garden obsessed in 2022, life got in the way and I neglected the garden a little last year. I've already ordered my 20 bags of Mr Muck and have my feed at the ready so hopefully it'll be better this year

Ah … I was trying to remember if it was you I’d posted it for previously. It took a few years before it bloomed like that so give it time … it’s worth it.

‘Life etc’ has definitely got in the way here too, and the clematis is invading the Viburnum… hopefully ‘24 will ge a little less fraught for us both 🤞

thanks @Dovefromabove! I'll try that. Fingers crossed it works - it's so beautiful in flower
... and not to mention scent.

Flower buds are formed in the summer.  They are bigger and fatter than leaf/shoot buds.  If you have  the luxury, tease one apart with your fingernails.

I have never known feed to help flower formation.  Starving the right plants, yes.

It depends what feed you use and when.
