Not the majority of cat owners sadly. I'm not trying to be rude but this topic gets discussed at length on this forum and things can get quite heated. The eventual conclusion to any debate is that more awareness is needed as quite a number of cat owners aren't aware of the impact their pet can have on the local area.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I wear plastic disposable gloves now when in soft soil. There is nothing worse than a handful of cat crap. I always liked to get my hands dirty, down in the soil but there comes a limit.
One advantage of this cold weather is that it's much easier to dispose of someone else's pet's crap while it's frozen solid. I do still find myself wondering why cat deterrents are so polite though. A small box of electronics that makes a slightly annoying noise or some smelly spray to put on your own garden. My own fantasy deterrents lean more towards Wallace and Gromit/Wile e Coyote

I was curious as to whether, like I've read for rats, the spread of diseases in cat poo is taken care of by our cold winters (obviously doesn't help in the warmer months) and found this from a cat charity
I'm assuming it's all correct and it should put people's mind at rest a little if it is. I don't have cats but we have plenty in the neighbourhood so have to deal with their produce.

It's unlikely to be impartial, unbiased information if it's coming from a cat charity.

Is that because all cat based charities have signed a charter to provide misinformation in order to rehome diseased ridden pesky felines?
