I don't think we need to be plant pathologists to detect that that's a very severe case of Fireblight. The same thing happened to my Rowan which I've had to cut right back, all the leaves turned brown, the berries all dropped off and the branches suffered die back. It's now a mere shell which I've transplanted to a pot. I may not keep it as life's too short, but I gather it's spread by bees, mine was covered in bees at time of flowering, and that it may not appear next year.. However, yours has that typical orange patching which suggests it's right into the wood. I wouldn't be too hopeful for your tree I'm sorry to say.
This was my beautiful Rowan in early June. By late June it started to go brown, before spreading all over the tree.
@Marlorena - thanks for your response (even though it's bad news 😢)! It's a rented house so I'll have to pass on the bad news to the owner. It was a beautiful tree so it breaks my heart to see it dying. Sorry to hear about your tree too.
