Yes, the rose in your photo is 'The Fairy'..

  • No rose expert but I still think it could be The Fairy?
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

'Flower Carpet Pink' is also quite similar, foliage very much the same, but the blooms tend to be a bit darker and less full.

My Mother was given a Fairy in the early/mid 1990's by her brother. It was planted in a large half wooden barrel and flowered happily each year from then on. When she came to live with us in the early 2000's the Fairy came too. When we all moved to Wales a few years later it moved as well. In the winter of 2021 we at last decided that the half barrel had had it and planted the Fairy in the garden. It promptly spread itself all over the place in amongst its neighbouring plants and flowers repeatedly and profusely from Spring until now each year. If ever we move from here we shall have to dig it up again as it is now so much a part of our family memories.
I have another long term rose as well. A friend who then kept her ponies with me and my horses sadly lost one of her little ones (named Fiona). She bought a rose - named Fiona (I had never heard of it) - and planted it in another barrel sized pot siting it in our stable yard. Since then it has moved homes with us, always living wherever the horses are, always in the same barrel. She took a cutting and still has that in her garden. Pic below is of Fiona this summer and like the Fairy above, it will always be with us.
