Lenovo M10

My problem seems to be coming from GW forum. As it's not an app as such I have no way of clearing the cache.
Is it possible to clear private messages? It  could be full.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but the cache that may need to be cleared is your browser cache (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge etc), not the app itself.

I doubt it has anything to do with private messages as these would be stored in the server and not on your PC/Mac/Mobile phone.

  • Thankyou @Pete.8
I'm too old for this sort of thing but now having to find my way round settings.
It keeps flashing up that Chrome isn't responding. I have to keep the app as it says I will lose other important stuff, so presumably I can look and see how bad the storage is.

Thankyou for your sensible help. Much appreciated

I don't have Chrome, but Imagine Firefox is kind of similar. Open the browser serttings in the tool bar at the top of the browser screen

Then go into the Privacy/Security tab

And click "clear data", it should give you the option to clear the cache

These are the instructions given online for clearing the Chrome cache

I hope it's helpful. Turning the whole computer on and off might reset things for you also. The site is very glitchy at times. Do you have any browser that you can try out and test?

This is the procedure for Chrome- from Google website
    In Chrome
    1. On your computer, open Chrome.
    2. At the top right, click More (that's the 3 dots top right of screen)
    3. Click More tools. Clear browsing data.
    4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
    5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
    6. Click Clear data.
That will clear your cache - there's no need to tick the option to clear browser history.
Just tick Cookies and Image cache

opps - Sorry @Fire I started the reply earlier and hadn't realized you'd already posted the answer

    Hurrah!
  • Still looking good,no flashing or freezing.

I spoke to my daughter yesterday about it and she's getting the same problem with her Lenovo,so bad that she's given up on it and bought a Kindle Fire.  I'm sending her the instructions you both so kindly helped me with.😁

From what I read, caches are supposed to clear themselves when the computer is switched on and off - so you start with a clean sheet each time (as it were). But it doesn't always work like that. So, clear as mud! Yeay.
