Averagely hot like De Cayenne is hot enough for me thanks. I can't imagine anyone actually enjoys eating the extremely hot ones.

I enjoy using the Ultra chillies for cooking with. I seem to have a high tolerance for them. For eating raw, i like the Cherry Bomb chillies.

    I agree - utter madness!
But i suppose there are guys out there who are up to the 'challenge' of eating something like that.
It must be similar to gargling with moutlen treacle!

    Jalapeno is fine for me.
The Basket of Fire I'm growing this year is mega-hot to my tastes and pleased I've brought it indoors now to keep ripening.

I grew bof last year. It formed a 3ft bush and a massive harvest.

    WOW that's impressive.
I don't use chillies as often as I used to, but I'm making a batch of chicken rempah today so I'll use a few BOF in that.
I'll save some seed and grow it again next year.

I made a note of Cherry Bomb when you mentioned it in a previous post, so will try that next year too - alongside Jalapeno and BOF

Pete place your chilli seed in a jug of water and throw out the ones that sink. Then throughly dry them on a paper towel then store.

Cherry Bomb are superb with the top cut off, the seeds scraped out, and stuffed with cream cheese. They have a thick flesh and superb flavour.

is that right? I thought conventional wisdom/old wives' tale was to throw out the ones that float? ( I haven't tried it)
