Sansevieria with multi-coloured condoms - who wouldn't want one of those?!?

Pardon my ignorance @Athelas but what are they, some type of cactus ?
Hi @AnniD, as @LG_ and @B3 mentioned, it’s Sansevieria cylindrica. Thankfully all other plants in the garden centre were ‘normal’.

Who the hell would buy those! I've seen cactus with neon flowers on them, but those Sansevieria are on another level!  :D

Not Halloween themed, but for sale today at my local garden centre…

Can you imagine all the lengthy meetings with the product development department, wildly trying to think up the next bonkers 'must-have' to fool customers with? Surely they didn't actually design that because it's something they would want? If that is not stretching the word design to its utmost limit.

I can just see the meeting now. We have loads of these plants, team, what can we do with them? Why don'r we make them look like dogs cocks, and even better, neon dogs cocks?
Great idea Smithers, go do it!  :D

Or it could be a thoughtful precaution by the garden centre to protect any little urchins from getting injured by the spikes 😂.

It is paint that feels like felt. Will take years to grow out according to one site.  It will also grow new leaves so more paint required?
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Dracaena angolensis technically. The whole Sansevieria family got a rebrand a couple of years ago.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
