I am so sad and angry that this beautiful tree has been destroyed. If it had come down in a storm that would be different but for someone to take a chain saw all the way there and chop it down is disgusting.Ā

They might non native and seed everywhere but they do make beautiful trees and how anyone could dislike one in this setting it beyond me.
It must have been photographed millions of times as well as appeared in tv and films. That picture in the article with the northern lights is lovely.Ā

What on earth is the matter with some people? Iām utterly shocked at this wanton vandalism. I hope whoever did this is found and brought to book. It really is a despicable act. Shame on them.
