It's weird, people clearly appreciate the natural/rural world enough to want to go there, but then they treat it with no respect - kind of humanity in a nutshell though when you think about it.
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".
And as a side note, what about population control, eh?
It does seem like contraception would have a useful role in that, but then the Catholics also aided population control by not allowing condoms in aids epidemic areas of Africa...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I wonder if the Pope has a garden - if so, does he allow every plant to self seed or run regardless of space or nutrients or does he employ "contraceptive" measures ? Otherwise he seems to simply be stating the obvious.
